Anyone who’s driven in St. Tammany Parish lately, knows the roadways are jammed with vehicles. Population continues to boom on the North Shore of Lake Pontchartrain, and St. Tammany’s parish government is allocating funds to make roadway improvements that hopefully, will keep up with the pace of new residents.

Advanced Quality Construction called on QSM to provide more than 1,000 feet of A-2000 PVC pipe on a Capital Roadway Improvements Project.

The job called on AQC to remove and replace old and outdated drainage structures, install new sub-surface drainage and headwalls. QSM also supplied concrete structures and metal grates.

Kirk Vancamp, VP of Operations at AQC, says they’ve been calling on QSM for more than 14 years.

“QSM has a great understanding of local specs and regulations,” he said. “They always seem to have the products we need, whenever we need them, they coordinate deliveries on time, and sometimes have just what we need at one of their local yards.”

The project that AQC recently completed is just one of almost 100 road improvement projects that were scheduled for 2014 across St. Tammany. The projects, including resurfacing and drainage improvements are funded by a 2-cent sales tax dedicated to road and associated drainage work.

Roadway and drainage improvements are slated to continue in the area through 2015.

Advanced Quality Construction, in business since 1992, performs in civil construction, marine construction and pipeline services. Headquartered in Mandeville, AQC works on projects large and small throughout the New Orleans and Baton Rouge metropolitan areas.
