Burgard Plumbing & Heating, Inc. called on QSM for Nyloplast when it won a contract to install subsurface drainage on a project in Houma, LA.
This civil construction project was completed for Courier Labs, LLC. It required redevelopment of a well-known building in Houma — the Houma Courier News building.
Now owned by Courier Labs, LLC — this project called for new drainage installation and site prep work. QSM supplied materials on this job, specifically, Nyloplast® Catch Basins.
Nyloplast® drainage structures are custom built for each application. These PVC products are durable and corrosion resistant, and they are easier to install than traditional, pre-cast concrete catch basins.
Burgard Plumbing & Heating, LLC chose Nyloplast® because this option helped them save on labor and transportation costs, which resulted in the project moving forward with greater efficiency, and at less cost to the property owner.
Ross Burgard, of Burgard Plumbing, says, “we were called in to work with TD Land Service and we were contracted to perform the drainage and site work. The parking lot and walkways on the existing property were changing locations on the site, and we installed new drainage structures underneath these areas.
“Why did I choose ADS’ Nyloplast?” — asked, Ross?
“That’s a good question, and the simple answer is: Nyloplast helps us save on labor costs, and speeds the time needed for installation. But what we didn’t expect was the efficiency we gained when working to adjust grate elevation — Nyloplast® helps in this area of the job, and the product is a joy to work with.”
Nyloplast® structures represent the latest in storm water management technology.
QSM is proud to represent ADS, and we are excited to offer the Nyloplast® drainage system to our customers.
The innovative combination of performance-proven ductile iron grates with a rugged, heavy-duty PVC structure makes Nyloplast® catch basins unique in the subsurface drainage field.
Engineers and landscape architects specify Nyloplast® because of these performance benefits, for the efficiency when it comes to installation, and for the improved visual appearance in high-profile applications that incorporate exposed pipe designs.
When your next project calls for subsurface drainage with tight budgets or short timeframes for site prep and installation, call QSM, and ask about Nyloplast®.
Nyloplast® Drain Basins are custom built and can be utilized in a variety of stormwater applications. The product is lightweight and easy-to-handle, which translates into faster installation with less equipment and personnel required.
This results in lower costs to property owners, and greater efficiency in the field for contractors and engineers. Nyloplast® also makes field adjustments easy to accomplish. Not sure about the final elevations? No worries … as last minute trimming can be done in the field to ensure proper positive drainage.
There’s even more from ADS & Nyloplast with the Nyloplast’s Inserta Tee®. With this … basins are easily installed anywhere along the trunkline.
Nyloplast’s Inserta Tee® allows field connections while, and it preserves the benefits of a resilient connection and watertight performance that Nyloplast® is known for. Nyloplast® is manufactured by Advanced Drainage Systems.
When asked about his relationship with QSM, Burgard said, “QSM always provides us with quality products at fair pricing, and that allows us to stay competitive in our market. I appreciate the way they look after their customers, and the way they work with us to offer the best products for each task.”
TD Land Service was the general contractor on this project.
