Residents in the town of Blanchard, La, and in other areas of North Caddo Parish will soon have cleaner drinking water, delivered by a state-of-the-art water treatment plant on Caddo Lake.
The project, more than seven years in the planning, broke ground in Sept., 2012. McInnish Brothers Construction, Inc., a company based in Minden, LA, is the general contractor.
QSM supplied McInnis Bros. with 96-inch diameter wet wells for the raw water intake facility. These wet wells, made of pre-cast concrete, will be used in the facility that sends untreated water more than a mile away to the treatment plant.
When asked why McInnis chose QSM as its supplier, project manager Clayton Walker said, “we’ve worked with them before on a similar project for a sewer treatment plant.”
“Quite simply, the pricing they provide us is hard to beat, but their customer service is the best. When we’re looking for suppliers, it’s important for us to get reliability. QSM makes promises it knows how to keep, and that in turn, helps us provide better estimates, and avoid costly overruns on our project bids.”
McInnis specializes in pre-construction and construction for commercial and industrial projects. In business since 1947, McInnis provides services to the healthcare, municipal, educational and industrial sectors in Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Arizona and Florida.
Total budget on the Blanchard Water Treatment Plant was $11 million.
