QSM is pleased to announce the addition of Darren Bobbitt as Technical Sales Representative for the Arkansas territory, marking a significant step in QSM’s ongoing expansion and commitment to serving the water and wastewater management industry across the Southeast.

Darren joins QSM’s Environmental Division, representing premier original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in water and wastewater management throughout Arkansas. QSM’s Environmental Division is recognized across five states — Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, and Mississippi — for connecting municipalities, engineers, and contractors with trusted solutions for complex infrastructure projects.

With Darren’s arrival, QSM is further strengthening its presence and service capabilities in Arkansas, helping to bridge the gap between manufacturers and the communities that rely on safe, sustainable water systems.

An engineer by training, Darren holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Early in his career, he discovered his passion wasn’t confined to a desk — it was in the field, working directly with architects, engineers, and municipal leaders to bring projects from concept to completion. Over the past two decades, Darren has built an impressive track record in business development, sales, and consulting. He spent more than 20 years as part of an independent Autodesk reseller’s sales team, and later founded AEC Recruiting Firm, LLC, where he worked closely with architects, engineers, and construction firms across the region.

Darren’s deep experience in land use development, civil construction, and his extensive network within the consulting engineering industry make him an ideal fit for QSM’s mission-driven approach. He understands the intricacies of municipal infrastructure projects, from the slow evolution of an idea to design, funding, and construction — and the importance of relationship-building at every stage. “What I’ve learned is that it’s a slow process from initial idea, to design, and build, but that engineers, contractors, architects, and plant staff all work together at some point during that time frame,” Darren says. “No two projects are alike, yet many share similar traits. It’s important to have this knowledge, and to build relationships that last, because you want to be helpful in all situations, and you want to bring that team mentality and approach to each project.”

Darren is passionate about the public good that comes from infrastructure work. “That’s part of what makes municipal works projects such as water management plants, and wastewater plants so rewarding,” he says. “As a manufacturers’ sales rep in this field, I get to be a part of building better communities, and it gives me great peace of mind to know all of this is backed by sound engineering.”

When asked why he chose QSM, Darren points to the company’s culture: “It’s the company attitude. QSM is a small firm, by national standards, but it exudes competence, is team-oriented, and purpose-driven.”

TJ Truxillo, QSM’s Vice President of Environmental, says the decision to bring Darren on board was an easy one. “Darren brings a unique combination of technical expertise, business acumen, and a collaborative spirit that fits right in with QSM’s values,” says Truxillo. “His experience in the Arkansas market and his reputation for integrity and service were exactly what we were looking for as we continue to invest in the communities we serve. We’re thrilled to welcome him to the team.”

In his new role, Darren will serve the state of Arkansas, working alongside municipalities, engineers, equipment manufacturers, and distributors to ensure that every project — no matter how complex — receives the attention, expertise, and partnership it deserves.

Darren lives in Little Rock with his wife, and they have two children.
