QSM is excited to announce a major expansion of its service footprint, now bringing its expertise and trusted solutions to Texas and Oklahoma. This move strengthens QSM’s longstanding partnership with McWane Plant & Industrial (MPI), which QSM already represents in its Environmental Division across Louisiana, Mississippi, and Arkansas.
With the addition of Texas and Oklahoma, QSM now serves an eight-state region stretching from the Oklahoma panhandle to the Florida panhandle — including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Texas, and Western Tennessee.
The addition of Texas and Oklahoma marks one of the most significant growth steps in QSM’s history.
Geographically, these two states are substantial: Texas alone covers about 268,000 square miles, while Oklahoma adds another 70,000 square miles. Together, that’s nearly as much territory as QSM’s entire existing footprint across Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Western Tennessee combined. QSM is more than doubling its service territory — a testament to the company’s steady growth and deep bench of expertise.
From a population standpoint, the shift is dramatic. Texas is home to nearly 30 million people, and Oklahoma adds close to 4 million — creating a combined market larger than the entire population of QSM’s existing service area. This expansion isn’t just about covering more ground; it’s about serving more communities and driving real impact across a much larger customer base.
QSM’s success in Texas and Oklahoma is rooted in thoughtful planning and boots-on-the-ground experience. TJ Truxillo, VP of QSM’s Environmental Division, has spent significant time with key accounts in the region and led extensive market research to craft a winning strategy for this new territory.
“Understanding the people and the market is everything,” Truxillo said. “We’ve listened to our partners and invested the time to get it right. This expansion is the result of deep research and relationship-building, and we’re ready to deliver.”
Execution of this strategy will be spearheaded by Trent Guiberteau, Sales Manager for QSM’s Enviro Solutions, West. Guiberteau will focus on developing relationships and building market knowledge as QSM establishes and grows its presence.
QSM’s project management team has already served the market since February 2nd with urgency, responsiveness, and extensive product knowledge.
QSM’s expansion means that public works departments, utilities, engineers, and contractors in Texas and Oklahoma will now have improved access to the industry-leading products manufactured by MPI. While customers in Texas and Oklahoma have had access to MPI’s products, the difference now is QSM’s local expertise, hands-on service, and responsive support—streamlining the customer experience and raising the bar for service levels in the region.
MPI unites the strength and expertise of trusted names like Kennedy Valve, M&H Valve, Clow Valve, McWane Ductile, Tyler Union, and Waterman. With these manufacturers, QSM and MPI deliver valves, gates, pipes, and fittings relied upon by municipalities and industrial operators across the region.
“Expanding into Texas and Oklahoma is a natural step for QSM, and one that reflects our commitment to delivering the highest quality infrastructure solutions across the South,” said Josh Loeske, CEO of QSM. “The addition of MPI in Texas and Oklahoma will more than double our territory, and we are up for the challenge. QSM has spent the last few years gathering valuable insight into a go-to-market strategy that works. We’re excited to showcase what we’ve learned by growing MPI and QSM. I speak for the team when I say that I’m extremely happy to have a partner like MPI that sees our value and trusts our abilities. The reason for our partnership is simple: together, we can offer solutions that make a real difference for our customers, and we have the shared commitment to deliver on that promise.”
QSM’s Environmental Division has represented MPI in Louisiana and Mississippi for years, building a track record of successful projects and satisfied customers. This expansion into Texas and Oklahoma is grounded in a mutual commitment to service, quality, and continuous improvement.
“MPI’s ability to deliver comprehensive solutions and support—backed by some of the most respected brands in the water and wastewater industry—has always set them apart,” said TJ Truxillo, QSM’s Vice President of Environmental. “We share a dedication to integrity, innovation, and delivering real value to our clients. That’s why QSM is proud to represent MPI: their manufacturing prowess, cost-effectiveness, and dependability make them an ideal partner for our customers’ most demanding projects.”

Chris Peeler, Vice President of Sales at MPI, says, “QSM has continually proven its commitment to understanding local market needs and delivering outstanding service to our customers. Their expansion into Texas and Oklahoma is a big win for communities that rely on our products, and we’re confident that the QSM team will represent MPI with the same dedication and expertise they’ve shown across their region.”
Amelia Grattan, Regional Sales Director, East at MPI, added, “The collaboration between MPI and QSM has always been built on trust and performance. As they grow into Texas and Oklahoma, we are excited to support their efforts and strengthen our presence in these vital markets.”
Matt Ybarra, Regional Sales Manager at MPI, noted, “We’ve seen firsthand how QSM goes above and beyond for its customers. Their local approach, technical knowledge, and passion for finding the right solution make them a powerful partner as we expand our footprint together.”
For clients across Texas and Oklahoma, the QSM-MPI partnership means single-source access to a broad range of high-quality products and expert support, from project planning through implementation and maintenance. Whether it’s new construction, a plant upgrade, or ongoing operations, QSM and MPI together offer solutions that reduce complexity, control costs, and ensure long-term reliability.

This expansion comes at a pivotal time for Texas. In November 2023, Texas voters overwhelmingly approved Proposition 6, which created a $1 billion Texas Water Fund dedicated to upgrading and expanding water and wastewater infrastructure across the state. The new fund specifically addresses aging systems and supports communities facing growth and drought challenges — making QSM and MPI’s solutions a perfect fit.
With this new commitment of public funds, the demand for high-quality, cost-effective water and wastewater solutions in Texas is accelerating, giving QSM an opportunity to help shape the next era of infrastructure for millions of Texans.
McWane Plant & Industrial (MPI) was formed in 2018 to bring together some of the top brands in valves, gates, pipes, and fittings — offering plant operators and infrastructure professionals a single trusted resource for comprehensive project support. With a legacy tracing back to 1871 through its parent, McWane, Inc., MPI’s reputation is built on quality, integrity, and a deep commitment to the communities it serves. Headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, MPI’s manufacturing operations and customer support span North America, providing innovative, reliable solutions for water and wastewater infrastructure.
QSM represents original equipment manufacturers that deliver solutions to essential infrastructure needs, … including water and wastewater treatment, stormwater management, and water control.
Based in Kenner, Louisiana, QSM serves construction firms, engineers, architects, and utilities across Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Texas, and the Western quadrant of Tennessee. The company is dedicated to providing the highest quality products, listening to its customers and employees, and delivering innovative solutions for civil construction and municipal works projects.
