When a company like QSM expands, it looks for people who know the road ahead, those who can navigate new territory with confidence and care, and this is exactly what QSM set out to find as we deepened our commitment to Texas and Oklahoma’s water infrastructure markets, and that is why we hired Trent Guiberteau

If you ask TJ Truxillo, QSM’s VP of Environmental Solutions, lightning struck twice: “Finding someone with Trent’s unique blend of industry experience, local roots, and genuine character was key for our Texas-Oklahoma team. He’s the right fit at the right time.”

QSM is thrilled to announce that Trent Guiberteau has joined QSM as Sales Manager, Environmental Solutions for Texas and Oklahoma — a move that signals QSM’s continued investment in both markets and our partnership with McWane Plant & Industrial (MPI) and its family of brands.

Bridging States and Cultures

Trent’s story feels tailor-made for this next chapter. Raised in Texas with family roots that run deep into southwest Louisiana, he brings a blend of Louisiana hospitality and Texas grit. Ask anyone who’s met him: he’s approachable, honest, and always ready to help. These traits make a difference in an industry built on trust and long-term relationships.

A graduate of Texas State University in San Marcos, Trent earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Management while playing three years for the Bobcats football team. “Teamwork, accountability, and building lasting relationships, … that’s what football taught me, and it’s what I bring to sales every day,” Trent says.

After six years in business-to-business sales across oil & gas, industrial plants, construction, and building materials, he’s known for being results-driven and ambitious yet grounded. It’s a rare mix.

His last name — Guiberteau — is a diminutive of the French ‘Guibert,’ meaning “to fight successfully.” But that’s not how he approaches work. “I don’t fight with customers or colleagues. I listen. I collaborate. That’s how you find the best path forward, especially when you’re representing both manufacturers and end users.”

Why QSM?

With several options on the table, why did Trent choose QSM? He points to QSM’s culture and core values, … especially transparency. “Everyone I talked to during the interview process was real. You can tell they care about each other, not just the work. That’s rare,” he says. And it’s not just about fitting in. Trent’s driven to help QSM thrive in these new markets, supporting customers across Texas and Oklahoma with responsive service and a clear sense of accountability.

His focus will be on sales and service for MPI, one of the most respected names in American-made valves, gates, pipes, and fittings, with over a century of manufacturing expertise and a reputation for simplifying complex plant and industrial projects (MPI). Trent’s industry knowledge, especially in the valve sector, is a natural match for MPI’s high standards and QSM’s goals.

Listening First, Delivering Always

Trent believes the best sales professionals are good listeners. “Customers are training us every day — but only if we pay attention,” he says. “We may see what they need before they have to ask, but our job as manufacturer’s reps is to be adaptive, to clear obstacles, and to build relationships that benefit end users and the manufacturing team,” he says.

Ask him about his approach to leadership, and you’ll hear a lot about responsiveness. “It’s about ownership and action. You let the customer and our partners at MPI know exactly what’s happening, what’s needed, and then you ask: how do we make this happen together?”

It’s a mindset that aligns with best practices for world-class sales organizations: set clear goals, foster trust, promote accountability, and model shared values.

QSM: A Team Effort in Texas & Oklahoma

QSM’s recent expansion into Texas and Oklahoma wasn’t just about geography. It was about building the right team. “Our project managers in Texas and Oklahoma have already set the bar high. Trent’s arrival raises it further. His leadership, industry knowledge, and positive energy will be invaluable as we continue to serve these markets,” says Josh Loeske, CEO of QSM.

Truxillo adds: “Trent’s ability, demeanor, and healthy attitude, coupled with his focus on doing things the right way, every time, make him a fantastic addition to the QSM team. He’s going to help us grow, and our customers will see a difference.”

Looking Ahead

As QSM steps forward with MPI and other leading manufacturers, Trent Guiberteau is ready to put relationship-building, responsiveness, and a customer-first mindset into action across Texas and Oklahoma. We’re proud to have him on board, and prouder still of the entire team at QSM making our most recent expansion a reality.
