Kent Design + Build, of Mandeville, Louisiana, won the contract to complete a new facility for Bell Helicopter in Broussard, LA. The job was a full construction project — ground up — including site prep, drainage, and installation of a 28,000 sq. ft. metal building.

Richard Walsh, of Kent Design + Build, called on QSM to ask about drainage products.

QSM supplied Kent with storm drains and culverts to facilitate sub-surface drainage.

Products include: corrugated metal pipe, catch basins and A-2000 PVC pipe and fittings.

“We were the GC on this job,” says Will Knight, of Kent Design. “It was a relatively small job, but with a quick turn around. We had one PM working on site (Walsh), and i managed things from our office in Mandeville.”

“The site already had a retention pond on it that ties into an outfall canal,” says Knight. “We called on QSM to provide us with needed products for sub-surface drainage such as corrugated metal pipe and culverts. The job went smoothly. We had our order delivered on time, with no hassles, and we’re nearing completion now.”

Construction began in June of 2013.

“We’re in South Louisiana mostly,” says Knight, “But we take on projects from the Gulfport / Biloxi area, through the New Orleans area, including the North Shore parishes, into Baton Rouge, and most recently in the Lafayette market.”
