Vertical Bar Screens

The mechanical vertical bar screen Screentec, removes solids from wastewater and is well suited for Headworks, Pump Stations, Lift Stations, Wet Wells and Manholes. It protects pumps from ragging and clogging and requires minimal maintenance.

A bar screen is a filter system designed to to remove objects such as rags, wipes and plastics, from wastewater and protect pumps from clogging. It is the first level of filtration used by wastewater treatment plants.

Screentec is an automatic vertical bar screen specifically designed for headworks, pump stations, lift stations, wet wells and manholes. Screentec extends the life cycle of pumps, and improves the quality of wastewater treatment.

Thanks to its mechanical vertical design, Screentec can retrofit any kind of structure with minimal or no changes. Screentec fits into narrow and deep structures, avoiding costly structural changes. It does not have any moving parts under grade level, providing easy and safe maintenance for the operational staff.

Aqualitec Screentec Benefits

1. Vertical Design: With a 90° installation angle, Screentec can fit any wastewater structure, up to 50′ deep.

2. Minimal Maintenance: Screentec does not have any moving parts at the bottom of the frame, and weekly maintenance requires only of a visual check of the top section in the frame.

3. Odor Control: The frame of the vertical bar screen is completely enclosed. Adding a washer-compactor with a bagger system, such as Compactec, maintains total odor control. Screentec can be installed in residential areas without risk of odor complaint.

Multiple Rake Screens

Raketec is a multiple-rake bar screen system with no moving parts under grade level.

It is a two-chain, free-sprocket mechanism which guarantees reliability and ease of use — with a combination of stainless steel rakes, and durable brushes deployed to thoroughly clear debris from the screen.

Raketec can be set to run continuously, on a timer program (cycle on/off), or with a water level sensor.

Aqualitec Washer Compactors

Compactec is a washer/compactor that conveys, cleans, dewaters, and compresses debris. The shaftless screw conveys screened debris, while the spray bar system sends organic material back to the system

The compression box reduces the volume of debris, lowering transportation costs. Compactec can retrofit any kind of bar screen equipment.

Compactec reduces the volume of screened debris from any kind of bar screen system. Debris enters the inlet hopper, where a shaftless auger carries it into the washing zone. Captured solids are then dewatered, compacted and discharged.

Aqualitec Grit Classifiers

Grittec is a grit classifier that separates rock, sand, and grit from screened wastewater. A large surface tank allows screened material to settle to the bottom, where a shaftless screw conveys screened debris to a dumpster.

The grit removal system operates by decantation to remove grit, sand, and rocks.

Influent water flows into the inlet hopper to allow grit to settle at the bottom of the tank. Then, captured grit is conveyed upward by the shaftless spiral. Effluent water evacuates through the top of the hopper to allow complete grit removal.

A deep, wide tank allows efficient grit classification.
