Scott Johnson, Field Superintendent at Leon Lowe & Sons, Inc., says it’s always a pleasure to work with QSM. “They have the products on the job when we need them. Nothing ever slows down. We work with QSM all the time.”
In fact, Leon Lowe & Sons has been choosing drainage pipe and site prep materials from QSM since the time it was known as F&G Services.
Toby Lowe, owner of Leon Lowe & Sons, says “The guys at QSM know their stuff. They’re competitive with pricing, but most importantly, they give us great service.”
“We’ve been working with them for many years. I go way back with that company — since before it was called QSM,” says Lowe. “I first started ordering drainage materials and site prep materials from F&G Services when Gary ran the business. The name has changed now, but the service hasn’t. They provide us with materials where we need them, when we need them.”
Located in Slidell, La., Leon Lowe & Sons has been in business since the 1950s. Today, this third generation, family-owned company, stays true to its roots: providing St. Tammany Parish with site work for residential subdivisions, commercial site prep, streets, roadway and drainage projects.
“My mom and dad founded this company,” says Lowe. “I’ve been in this business all my life, and I enjoy keeping at it. We’re a third generation company now because I have my son and one of my nephews working with me, too.”
That means more projects like Hidden Pines will be produced by a company with decades of knowledge in St. Tammany Parish.
On this job … Leon Lowe ordered A-2000 PVC Pipe, A-2000 Fittings, Asphalt Coated Corrugated Metal Pipe, CMP Fittings, Cast Iron Rings & Grates, Galvanized Steel Frames & Grates, and Duckbill Earth Anchors.
The project was designed to improve drainage and to alleviate flooding in the Hidden Pines Subdivision on Rue Pickney in Mandeville, between LA Hwy 1088 and US 190 (Florida St.).
QSM provided all of the materials listed above and also consulted with the engineers on specialty items and design modifications.
