Christian Dragna Joins QSM as Environmental Division Sale Rep

QSM is pleased to announce that Christian Dragna has joined the team as a Technical Sales Rep in its Environmental Division. Christian will cover the territory of North and West Louisiana.

He comes to QSM after spending eight years as a high school coach and teacher, and says, “I was looking to make a fresh start. I wanted to take on new challenges, and be a part of a business team in a new career, and QSM feels like the right fit.”

While Christian served students as a coach and teacher, he pursued an MBA at LSU Shreveport (2023). He also earned a BA in Health and Physical Education from the University of Arkansas at Monticello in 2015.

“I was able to invest time on more learning, and I made a point during my studies to inform myself about a broad range of industries,” says Christian. “I knew I wanted to embark on a new career, and not just get a “job,” so I also actively studied and read as much as I could about the various sectors in the economy.”

Christian kept coming back to infrastructure, and felt a deep connection to being able to play a role in that sector by working in his home state (he is from Mandeville).

Currently living in Benton, LA, Christian will serve the North Louisiana and West Louisiana market for QSM. It’s there that he will call on municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities, and also will engage industrial customers in that region.

“My desire to be an asset to others with solutions gives me great pride,” says Christian. “And when I was looking for companies that were hiring, QSM stood out to me because of its core values. As a coach, I know what it takes to build a winning team, and I think QSM’s values are the foundation of what I call a “winning culture.”

Louisiana — and the United States — in general are both faced with growing infrastructure needs. New projects will have to be brought online, and maintenance at existing facilities are a critical importance.

That makes the timing right, as The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law’s investment in the water sector is transformational. It includes $50 billion that will be sent to states to strengthen the nation’s drinking water and wastewater systems — the single largest investment in water the federal government has ever made.

When asked what he wants customers to know about him, and his role at QSM, Christian says, “I do not walk away from issues. I’m here for customers, and I pride myself on being resilient, and I have a determination to bring valuable solutions to the tasks at hand.

“I’ve had tremendous mentors in my previous careers that ingrained in me to always continue to learn. The phrase “Be a sponge” is an essential skill, and I want customers to know I will always find a way for them.”

QSM welcomes Christian Dragna to its team.

Says Josh Loeske, “Christian stood out from a number of candidates in the way he speaks about value and integrity. His experience as a coach, player, and teacher is  of high value because those roles require quick thinking, innovative thinking, and an ability to be an integral part of a team-drive environment.”
