Corey Cloninger, a New Orleans native, and current resident of Lafayette, has joined QSM’s site solutions division as an outside sales rep covering southwest, central and northern Louisiana. 

He will represent the company in those regions, with a primary focus on civil / site solutions.

“I’ve lived in the Lafayette area for 17 years,” says Cloninger. “And, I’ve gotten to know the territory very well. I was happy to hear QSM wants to expand its reach across Louisiana.”

Corey comes to QSM after spending the past decade-plus in the oil & gas industry where he worked primarily as a Landman. 

If you’re unfamiliar with that term, a landman is the public facing side of an oil, gas, mineral and natural resources exploration. 

As such, Corey was a member of a team who interacts and negotiates directly with landowners to acquire leases for the exploration and development of minerals natural resources.

And it’s this teamwork that served him well, as he prepares for his new career with QSM.

“I was ready to make a change, and as I worked throughout the region, I would always notice new developments going up, new roadway and bridge projects taking place, and I thought about how important those types of infrastructure developments are to communities.”

“Taking my knowledge of land use and acquisition and pairing it with an outside sales role in the site solutions business feels like the right fit,” said Corey. 

Key towns in Corey’s territory include: Lafayette, Broussard, Lake Charles, Shreveport, Monroe, and Alexandria. 

Says Corey: “I want customers to know they can count on me to do what I say, and that I have their best interest top-of-mind. I’ll try and try again, as I introduce myself to people in  this industry, and the goal is to become …’ The trusted Face of QSM’ in the area.”
