How does it work? UVC lights target microorganisms DNA structure. Exposure to UVC light prevents microorganisms from reproducing and cells that cannot reproduce cannot infect. This physical process renders microorganisms harmless.
Why use UV? UV disinfection is a well accepted method for treating wastewater. The main benefits of UV is that it is a green technology (no chemicals), it does not require long residence times, and it produces no harmful by-products.
