The RTP design is the only bolted steel storage tank design that is recognized as a replacement for field-welded storage tanks. Bolted tanks are available in sizes up to 8.2 million gallons, and field-welded water storage tanks are available in wizzes up to 25 million gallons.

The coating system is rooted in a powder-on-powder coating process. This creates a top coat layer that can not be removed independently from the base coat. It is important to remember that glass/vitreous enamel coatings cannot be recoated. Those storage tanks can only replaced.
