QSM has signed a Master Sales Rep agreement with Storm Water Systems, of Cleveland, GA.

Storm Water Systems, Inc. manufacturers of the Bandalong Litter Trap, StormX Trash Traps, and Bandalong Boom Systems, provides solutions to municipalities, government agencies, and environmental organizations who are concerned about trash washing into public waterways and canals.

These products are The Answer for anyone interested in water quality issues, and environmental protection.

As the company mantra says, Storm Water Systems is “Making a difference, one waterway at a time.”

Governments — at all levels — face challenges with trash washing into waterways and drainage systems. Floating trash is one of the more persistent problems when it comes to maintaining safe and clean waterways, and municipalities all across Louisiana have to confront the issue.

“Water is one of Louisiana’s most important and precious natural resources,” says Josh Loesk, CEO of Quality Sitework. “We don’t have to look too far to see solid waste clogging our streams, rivers, and causing problems in our drainage basins.”

“We partnered with Storm Water Systems because the products they make are well engineered, and they serve a very real and tangible purpose that we can easily identify with in Louisiana. We bring an intimate knowledge of the local waterways, and Storm Water Systems brings expertise in engineering and manufacturing.”

Storm Water’s Bandalong Litter Traps and Storm X trash traps have been installed, to great success, across the United States. As such, Storm Water Systems has a proven track record in working with city, state, and the federal government to solve problems on some of our most at risk waterways and eco-systems.

Storm Water Systems installed the nation’s first Bandalong Litter Trap in Washington, D.C in 2009 on a tributary into the Anacostia River, well-known for its critical levels of pollution and litter. Within the first six months of operation the Bandalong Litter Trap collected more than 5,000 lbs. of litter including plastic bottles, cans, cups and even a shopping cart.

The Bandalong Litter Trap floats in waterways and uses the water’s current to guide and capture litter without mechanical assistance. Constructed of industrial-grade high density polyethylene, aluminum, and stainless steel, the trap is durable in harsh marine environments.

Storm Water Systems offers innovative products and systems to remove trash and debris from stormwater runoff and natural waterways. Based in Cleveland, GA, Storm Water Systems was founded on more than 30 years of expertise in isolating pollutants from the environment. To learn more, visit stormwatersystems.com.

The StormX netting system collects trash, litter and debris from runoff. Available in sizes from 18 to 60 inches in diameter, with custom sizes available, the system uses easily detached and emptied HDPE netting designed to stop floatable and non-floatable trash and debris down to 5 mm.

StormX was developed in Australia, and was first deployed in the United States about 15 years ago. The nets typically are five feet long, with extended lengths  available.
