Team Member Spotlight: Jared Strum

Jared Strum came to QSM about one year ago — with more than 15 years experience in industrial sales where he called on municipalities and waste water treatment plants in Alabama.
Today, he is part of QSM’s Environmental Sales Division, where he works closely with TJ Truxillo, Fred Escher, and Josh Loeske. His territory covers Mississippi, Alabama, and the Florida Panhandle.
We caught up with Jared recently at his family farm in Alabama.
Let’s see what he had to say …
Q: How long have you been with QSM?
A: I have been with QSM for one year.
Q: What do you like most about QSM?
A: First and foremost, I like the people. Another part of QSM that I really like is the culture of the company and the philosophy of the leadership and how they run the company.
Q: What is your role at QSM?
A: I am a Technical Sales Representative.
Q: What’s your favorite thing about your role?
A: I would have to say that I enjoy building relationships with clients and potential clients.
Q: What are you proud of, as it relates to your time at QSM?
A: It may sound corny, however, I am truly proud to be associated with the good peoples of QSM.
Q: Is there something you’d like to be more involved with, but are not – at the moment?
A: Not now, as my plate is pretty full. I am pleased to be learning how my markets work, meeting with and working with some of the major players are, and the technical aspects of the industry and products + solutions we represent.
Q: What do you do for fun outside of the office?
A: Fun? Who has time for fun? Ha!
Just being involved and hanging out with my wife and two children and a few friends on occasion is good enough.
Q: Anything else you want to share about QSM or yourself that you’d like others to know?
A: Just want everyone to know that the QSM team is comprised of good people with great attitudes that really seem to enjoy what they do.
