Creek Construction, headquartered in St. Tammany Parish, called QSM for Asphalt Coated Corrugated Metal Pipe Arch (ACCMPA) that was used on a project in Livingston Parish.

The project — a series of pavement resurfacing and overlay jobs — took place in multiple areas throughout the parish, as part of a roads improvement package.

Creek Construction performed work on 22 roads in the area.

QSM supplied ACCMPA, in varying sizes from 15-inches to 90-inches. The pipes were used primarily to repair or to replace culverts under those roadways.

Contech Engineered Solutions ACCMPA was specified.

“We mostly replacing older corrugated pipe, which had lost its coating or was originally uncoated,” said Mick Marcotte of Creek Construction.

“Before spending money to resurface roadways, it’s always a good idea to upgrade the culverts, and that’s what took place here.”

Marcotte says he worked closely with Jonathan Wilhite at QSM.

“Jonathan is great to work with,” said Marcotte. “He knows the product line very well, keeps everything organized, and we were on track the whole project with delivery and timeline updates.”

So far, Creek Construction has laid 3,500 feet of pipe across Livingston Parish.

There are four more roads still under construction, and those will add another 1,000 linear feet of pipe to the project.
