TD Construction Group, LLC, a general contractor based in the Houma-Thibodaux area, called on QSM to supply drainage solutions for a new residential development in Thibodaux.
St. Mary’s Place sits near the intersection of Percy Brown Road and LA-308. It covers an area of 43 acres and will be comprised of 93 lots total once complete.
TD Construction worked closely with QSM on value-engineered solutions. The two companies coordinated efforts with the engineers and with the developer.
Steven Gros, in QSM’s Schriever, LA office, met with TD Construction’s Tyler Duplantis to learn more about the project, and together they reviewed engineering documents to set-up a plan.
QSM provided TD Construction with pre-cast structures, drainage pipe (A-2000, RCPA, and HDPE), and geotextile fabric.
TD Construction performed 90% of the work on the project, including drainage installation.
The residential development features 0.75 acre to 1.25 acre lots and will be built in three phases. Each building phase will contain approximately 30 lots.
In business for three years, TD Construction has swiftly built a name for itself as a general contractor with in-depth knowledge of zoning requirements and land use in the region.
Headquartered in Thibodaux, TD Construction performs most of its work in Lafourche and Terrebonne parishes.
Duplantis Design group was the engineer on the project.
Tyler Duplantis, at TD Construction says, “It is always good to work with Steven and QSM.”
“Steven has a great knowledge of the products we need on these job sites, and he is always responsive and helpful. Budgets have been tight lately, and QSM finds ways to help us deliver sound solutions that work within those budgets. This extra effort helps us to mitigate price inflation that everyone has seen in the past few years.”
Gros says, “What I like about working with a company like TD Construction is their can-do approach, and let’s-get-it done attitude. No detail is too small, yet nothing seems to flap them. They’re cheerful guys who always walk in a room ready to find and recommend creative solutions.”
Says Duplantis, “We like to bring a youthful spirit and innovative approach to working with engineers, sub-contractors and suppliers. By looking at an initial set of plans, we set goals in mind at the earliest stage so we can make these projects fruitful for everyone.”
QSM supplies drainage and infrastructure solutions throughout Louisiana. It serves the Bayou Region from Schriever, LA where it recently opened a new office, and completed refurbished construction on a storage yard.
